Policy Areas & Committees

Every year, Accelerate Colorado strategically selects policy focus areas on based on top state issues and feedback from our membership.  Our policy committees are then formed for each focus area and members have the ability to directly shape the year's federal policy agenda through these committees.  Members can sit on any and all committees they wish to participate in.  Once the policy agenda is created, we go to work along with our federal lobbyist in Washington, D.C. to address and get results on these important issues.

2019 Policy Area Focus

  • No industry or municipality can survive without sufficient Transportation infrastructure both land and air. Accelerate Colorado advocates for the funding of projects such as highway interchanges and light rail lines that provide access to the state’s most important business and development districts, creating a complete transit system.

  • Water and Natural Resources is of critical importance to the future development of the state of Colorado. Developing solutions for water, its use, flow, quality, ownership, storage and accessibility, is absolutely necessary in a climate where the average rainfall is less than 20 inches per year.
